Last September 16th was the Bicentennial of the Mexican Independence and SEC organized the traditional "El Grito" Party with friends and students. The party was a success and we decided to take this opportunity to try and make a difference, as little as it might be. We collected 1'300 MXN pesos from our guests and donated it to the PEACE Mexico (Protection, Education, Animals, Culture & Environment) association, a non profit organization dedicated to help the communities in the Southern region of Nayarit and in Jalisco.

Moreover, this summer various States of Mexico were severely damaged by the floods and a lot of people and organizations reacted by creating a solidarity movement towards the victims of the constant rain. SEC took part in the action and set up a donation within the school. We collected food and supplies that were sent to the victims of Veracruz and Tabasco State.

Thank you all for your support!!
With delicious traditional Pozole made by Mayo, our chef for the night, agua de Jamaica, beer and Tequila, great company and an amazing setting, the party was a success! Juan and his guitar set the tone to some singing under the Vallarta starlit sky, Enrique gave an amazing speech about the Independence and the show that was given from the Zocalo in Mexico was breathtaking and left us all deeply moved and made our love for Mexico only grow bigger.
Thank you to Claudia, Monica, Jessica, Senta, Tara, Michaela, Reese and Lukas our dear students who all present and celebrated this very special event with us, as part of the family!
