Here is a few word from all of them:
Enrique Jiménez - General Director
Hi! My name is Enrique Jiménez.
I was born in the city of Cuernavaca. I have a degree in International Business and a diploma in the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language from the Uninter University of Cuernavaca. I have been living in Puerto Vallarta since the summer of 2005. I am the General Director of the Spanish Experience Center; sometimes I am a teacher as well. I really love to teach, especially beginners and conversation classes. My greatest satisfaction is when my students achieve understanding, writing and expressing themselves in Spanish. Thanks to work I have had the chance to meet a lot of people from all over the world, and therefore I got to discover cultures from different countries. I have two dogs with which I walk every day in the afternoon. I like to go to the beach and sunbathe. Music is part of life and I like to go out with my friends on week-ends: some of them are from other cities or even other countries, and we have formed a great group. I consider them as my Puerto Vallarta family.
Susana Chávez - Administrative Assistant:
My name is Susana Chávez, I am from El Grullo, Jalisco. I have been living in Puerto Vallarta for 4 years and working at the Spanish Experience Center for 3.5 years. Working for SEC is like working from home, where my work colleagues and students are like my family and the work area my home. It is a real pleasure for me to be able and contribute to the sharing of the Mexican Culture and even more, contribute to the satisfaction of the students during their stay at our school. It is a great achievement to see that year after year the majority of our students come back to live the SEC experience once more. It is important to mention that not only the students have the opportunity to live a study abroad experience, but I also get to enjoy a day by day multicultural experience, as we receive students from all over the world.
All of this achievement is possible thanks to our amazing work team and the confidence of all the people who chose us for being the best option to learn Spanish in Puerto Vallarta.
Saraí Ramirez - Head of Academics and our Mexican Food Expert
My name is Saraí Ramírez Fernández, I have a degree in Teaching Spanish with a specialization in Hispano-American History at the Uninter University in Cuernavaca, Morelos. Cuernavaca is where I am from originally and is located just one hour south of Mexico City. I have been working at the Spanish Experience Center for 5 years and it is a great experience: I have had the chance to meet very interesting people from many different countries.
I love my job. I love to live in such a beautiful, safe and quiet place, like Puerto Vallarta, surrounded by the ocean and the mountains.
I like to read historical novels or magical realism novels, information about other countries and to share cultural and historical information about Mexico with my students.
These 5 years I have in Puerto Vallarta so far have really been wonderful ones.
Mayra Valle - Teacher
My name is Mayra Valle, I am originary from Puebla, where I lived for 15 years. Afterwards I lived in Cuernavaca for 10 more years and there I studied Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, which brought me here!
I love Puerto Vallarta but I prefer it in the winter and spring. I arrived at the Spanish Experience Center 2.5 years ago. My intention was to only stay for 6 months. I really like the school, our two dogs Charro and Gayla and of course my work colleagues. What I love the most is that I have made real good friends here. One of my passions is travelling, I don’t always have the opportunity to do so, but when the opportunity presents itself I make the most of it. I like to read, go to the movies and go out with my friends.
Adriana Bedolla - Teacher
Hi there! My name is Adriana Bedolla. I was born and raised in Cuernavaca where I studied Special Education at the Morelos State University (UAEM).
After graduating in 1998, I moved to Chicago where I lived for 3 years. In 2001, I returned to Mexico and obtained a post-graduate degree in teaching Spanish as a second language. In 2005, I joined the founding team of the Spanish Experience Center where I have been teaching students of all levels. Tania Huitrón - Teacher
My name is Tania Huitrón, proudly born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, “the City of the eternal Spring”, where I studied teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
I decided to come and live in Puerto Vallarta because at the Spanish Experience Center I have the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. Working here is an incredible experience; I love the family atmosphere that we experience day after day at the school. The life together with the students makes life away from my family a lot easier.
I love meeting new people from all over the world, and through them, knowing different cultures. IT’S LIKE TRAVELLING AROUND THE WORLD EVERYDAY. I like the beach, the sun, listening to music and singing.
I am also a theater actress, I took part in various plays, visiting many States of the Republic of Mexico, but Vallarta definitely got my heart. :)
